Hope I am not too early for next Christmas!

Dry fruits are soaked in rum to make them withstand the weather and also add little flavour. You can make the cake without adding rum with the same recipe, but make sure that you add fresh orange juice(Unsweetened) to make the cake full of flavour.

Add dry fruits and nuts just when making cake. No need to soak them in orange juice.Rajanikanth Shenoy, Kudpihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16537223168024640007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20717816.post-4345768041057847592017-12-22T12:36:36.806+05:302017-12-22T12:36:36.806+05:30Rajani Bappa . Then again, you need to strike a balance between solids and liquids. Otherwise the cake turns out too dry or soggy.Rajanikanth Shenoy, Kudpihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16537223168024640007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20717816.post-1059512097957720282016-07-10T14:24:09.431+05:302016-07-10T14:24:09.431+05:30hi - can I use pineapple or apricot jam instead of...hi - can I use pineapple or apricot jam instead of the crush ?
If not, what is the other alternative? pl help -thnksmaria .
